Marco Finn's Career
Working under another name, Marco Finn has created illustrations for a wide variety of high-end clients ranging from national magazines and media companies to leading graphic design agencies, that include: New York Magazine, New York Times, Vogue Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Blue Boy Magazine, as well as NBC, PBS, and RCA Records. One of New York City's most innovative design agencies represented him in the 70's.
He has along and successful career producing illustrations for a variety of books in the United States and Europe. His books have been published by Harper & Row, MacMillan, Doubleday, Morrow Books, Green Willow Books, and Walker Books London. Under his other name, Marco Finn has won awards from professional organizations in his field including Graphic Artists Guild and Society of Illustrators. Communication Arts and Print Magazine have featured articles on his work.
Marco Finn has a BFA and MFA from Pratt Institute, New York, where he also was a faculty member for 7 years. He has had a strong interest in drawing and painting the human figure for many years. His drawings and watercolor paintings including nudes are in private collections in North America and Europe
His exhibition history includes one man shows and group shows at the Beck Gallery and Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in New York, Leslie/Loman Foundation Gallery for Gay Art, SOHO, New York City, The Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair, West Hollywood, CA. group shows also include Somarts Gallery, San Francisco, CIAO Gallery Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as well as international shows with his design agency's group.
